Russian specialists are working on active protection systems that will increase the survivability of tanks. The state corporation Rostec reported this on Telegram.
In addition, Russian combat vehicles are equipped with various electronic warfare systems. "All these solutions taken together will ensure even greater security for Russian armored vehicles and increase their survivability on the battlefield," the state corporation said.
Earlier, Rostec reported on the discovery of vulnerabilities in the protection system of the captured German Leopard 2 tank.
Also in May, the state corporation reported that experts compared the actual military-technical characteristics of the captured Leopard 2A6 tank with the T-90 and came to the conclusion that the Russian T-72B3M, T-80BVM and T-90M are serial tanks that are more adapted to modern combat operations.
