Ryazan Senator Anoprienko Resigns as Deputy Minister of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation


Sergei Anoprienko was relieved of his post as Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of Russia at his own request in connection with his appointment to the post of Senator from the Ryazan Region.
The order was signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on Tuesday, February 25.
Earlier, Ryazan Region Governor Pavel Malkov announced that Sergei Anoprienko had been appointed senator from the region. The post became vacant after Nikolai Lyubimov left the Federation Council, having resigned early at his own request. The next day, he was arrested for bribes received during his tenure as head of the Ryazan Region.
