Vice-Governor of Belgorod Region Zainullin Arrested for 2 Months

The vice-governor of the Belgorod region, Rustem Zainullin, was arrested in a fraud case. This was reported by RIA Novosti .
He was charged under Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Fraud committed by an organized group or on an especially large scale”).
According to the agency, the court has arrested the Minister of Property and Land Relations of the region, Zainullin, until August 20.
According to preliminary data, the case is related to theft during the construction of protective structures on the state border. The approximate amount of damage is 500 million rubles. It is noted that this money was obtained due to inflated prices and theft during the production of reinforced concrete products.
