The criminal case against Nikolai Konashenko (included in the list of terrorists and extremists) on the justification of terrorism (Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) has been sent to the First Western District Military Court.
The charges are related to his online posts about the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall, which, according to investigators, contained signs of justification for the crime, RIA Novosti reported.
The incident developed after Konashenko's administrative arrest for petty hooliganism on March 25, 2024, when he caused a public scandal on Mytninskaya Street. He was later detained at Pulkovo Airport while attempting to fly abroad. In a video published by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the defendant apologized, stating that he does not support terrorism.
Against the backdrop of the scandal, his wife Roxana Shatunovskaya left her post as CEO of ANO "New Holland", condemning her husband's position, but remaining with the family. The publications that became the basis for the criminal case were removed, but caused a significant public outcry.
Earlier it was reported that the wife of the leader of the organized crime group "Hadi Taktash" is demanding that her husband be transferred to a colony closer to home.
