The sea in Sochi has finally warmed up

The water temperature on the Sochi coast has reached a comfortable 22 degrees for swimming, while in Gelendzhik, Anapa and Tuapse it is around 21 degrees. This was reported by the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand in an interview with TASS .

"The water on the Black Sea coast has warmed up to pleasant values. In Gelendzhik, Anapa and Tuapse the temperature is at 21 degrees, and in Sochi it is already 22 degrees, comfortable for swimming. Previously, due to large volumes of cold water in the rivers, the temperature off the coast of Sochi was lower, but now it has recovered and will continue to rise," he noted.

The situation is different in the coastal cities of Crimea: in Alushta and Yalta, due to the wind blowing, the water warmed up to only 11-12 degrees. The temperature increase is expected only by the end of the week.

At the same time, a terrible storm is predicted in the Caucasus.
