Regions will receive another 7.4 billion rubles to purchase medical equipment to combat cancer

Federal funding is needed to update medical equipment used in radiological diagnostic methods or therapy of oncological diseases, and to re-equip or re-equip medical institutions with such equipment. The Russian Ministry of Health has been instructed to ensure the conclusion of agreements on the provision of subsidies to regions within 30 days.
The largest tranches, in addition to the Chelyabinsk region, are intended for the Khabarovsk region – 414.1 million rubles, the Republic of Tatarstan – 330.1 million rubles, and the Voronezh region – 317.46 million rubles.
The least amount of funds is allocated for the Sverdlovsk region – 57.6 million rubles, the Republic of Karelia – 48.6 million rubles, and the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug – 27.3 million rubles.
The passport of the national project "Long and Active Life" includes 11 federal projects with a total budget of 2.053 trillion rubles until 2030, including "Fight against Oncological Diseases". This federal project turned out to be the most resource-intensive - it is assumed that 140 billion rubles will go from the federal budget to the compulsory medical insurance system annually, as before, thus the total amount will reach 840 billion rubles.
According to the federal project "Fight against oncological diseases", according to the passport, it is expected to reach 67% of the share of patients living 5 or more years from the moment of diagnosis. In regional projects, additional tasks are to reduce the one-year mortality rate of cancer patients; increase the share of people who have undergone examination for dispensary observation after the end of treatment; increase the share of malignant neoplasms detected at the first stage.
