The flight of the Indian PSLV-XL launch vehicle ended in failure, as reported by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
The reason given was technical problems in the third stage.
Thus, the spacecraft failed to deliver the EOS-09 remote sensing satellite into orbit.
The satellite, which did not reach orbit, was planned by ISRO to operate in space for about five years and provide high-quality images of the planet in all weather conditions.
