Construction of a modern sports ground has begun in Dzerzhinsky Park in Kursk

The construction of a new sports ground has begun in the F.E. Dzerzhinsky Park in Kursk. The work is being carried out within the framework of the project "100 sports grounds of Russia" with the support of the All-Russian movement "Healthy Fatherland". The cooperation agreement was signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. This was reported by the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the Kursk Region.
More than 10.5 million rubles have been allocated for equipment, with another 3 million coming from extra-budgetary sources. The future site will unite several sports zones: a workout complex, including for people with disabilities, courts for street basketball, mini-football and table tennis, as well as a bicycle parking lot.
“When such facilities appear within walking distance, sport becomes part of the daily life of city residents,” emphasized the head of the regional sports department, Natalya Zhigalova.
