The statement said, "Our Istanbul, the apple of the world's eye, which is advancing at full speed towards becoming a regional center in cruise tourism, has broken another record. While 168 cruise ships docked in Istanbul in the first 8 months of 2025, a total of 410 thousand 577 passengers came with these ships, 65 thousand 776 arriving passengers and 270 thousand 390 transit passengers. In the same period of 2024, 123 cruise ships came to Istanbul and a total of 268 thousand 227 passengers were recorded, 31 thousand 577 of whom were arriving and 205 thousand 140 transit passengers. Compared to the same period in 2024, at Istanbul's cruise ports in 2025;

Incoming cruise passengers increased by 111.8 percent,
