Bloodshed in dispute over 10,000 lira receivable: 1 dead, 1 injured

The incident occurred yesterday around 8:00 PM on Kaynarca Street in the Gültepe neighborhood. Allegedly, an argument broke out between Halil B. and Ömer Kandemir (39) over a 10,000 lira debt for scaffolding used in construction. When the argument escalated into a fight, Halil B. shot Ömer Kandemir and his brother Önder Kandemir with a gun he was carrying. Upon being alerted by bystanders, medical and police teams were dispatched to the scene. After receiving first aid, Ömer Kandemir and his brother Önder Kandemir were taken to Denizli State Hospital by ambulance. Shot in the chest, Ömer Kandemir died despite doctors' efforts. Önder Kandemir is reportedly still receiving treatment.

Police detained Halil B., who shot the two brothers. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
