President Erdoğan to attend Gaza Summit

It was announced that an international summit will be held in Egypt on October 13 to end the war in the Gaza Strip.

It was emphasized that the summit aims to end the war in the Gaza Strip, consolidate efforts to ensure peace and stability in the Middle East, and open a new page for regional security and stability.

It was reported that the international summit will be held within the scope of Trump's vision and efforts to establish peace in the region and end conflicts around the world.

President Erdoğan will go to Egypt tomorrow

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will also travel to Egypt tomorrow to attend the Gaza Summit.

More than 20 leaders, including US President Donald Trump, will attend the summit.

Gaza ceasefire and prisoner swap agreement

US President Trump announced on October 9 that Israel and Hamas had approved the first phase of a ceasefire plan in Gaza during ongoing negotiations in Egypt.

The agreement was signed in Egypt, where negotiations were held, and came into force in the early hours of October 10 with the approval of the Israeli government.

Following the Israeli army's withdrawal from the "yellow line" as stipulated in the agreement, it was announced that the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip came into effect at 12:00 on the same day.

In Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip between October 8, 2023, and the ceasefire agreement, 67,682 people were killed and 170,033 people were injured.
