The first delivery of the ALTAY Tank Project, developed to meet the main battle tank needs of the Turkish Armed Forces with domestic resources, will be made on October 28.
OPENING CEREMONY ON OCTOBER 28
An official opening ceremony will be held for the BMC Ankara Tank and New Generation Armored Vehicles Production Facility established in Kahramankazan.
The first delivery of ALTAY tanks, which have begun mass production, will be made at the facility's opening ceremony on October 28.

The mass production process, which started with the imported power group, will continue with the domestic BATU Power Group.
Within the scope of the project, 250 tanks, 85 in T1 and 165 in T2 configuration, will be provided to the Land Forces Command.
NEW ALTAY TANK
Following the localization and additional capabilities gained on the ALTAY Tank prototypes due to the export license obstacle, the "NEW ALTAY" tank with much superior capabilities emerged.
Among the capabilities gained to the ALTAY Tank are the active protection system, new power pack, improved armor system, renewed fire control system, renewed vehicle control system, and localized systems (speed reducer, gunner's 2nd degree vision system, track, turret ring gear, fuel and hydraulic pumps, mobile concealment net, periscope, rotor, etc.).
ALTAY T1 will also feature explosion-retardant measures in the hull ammunition compartments and an enlarged turret rear compartment.
Developed in accordance with asymmetrical combat conditions for peace support operations, Turkey's national main battle tank ALTAY was showcased at the 13th International Defense Industry Fair (AA)
ALTAY , which will undertake important tasks in modern combat conditions, will offer its superior firepower, thanks to its high-tech weapon systems, and advanced fire control systems with the highest hit rates to end users.
Crew protection will be provided by next-generation hybrid protection systems, optimizing maneuverability, agility, and survivability.
ALTAY tank
The ALTAY Main Battle Tank, with its renewed and localized systems, including the power pack, by BMC, was delivered to the Turkish Armed Forces in 2023 for mass production tests.
Serial production will continue with the T2 configuration, which will provide the tank with additional capabilities.
