The Turkish national football team hosted Bulgaria in their third match of Group E of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. The match, which kicked off at 9:45 PM at Vasil Levski Stadium, was refereed by Luis Godinho of the Portuguese Football Federation. Godinho was assisted by Rui Teixeira and Pedro Almeida.

Turkey dominated possession in the first 10 minutes of the match. The Turkish national team came close to scoring in the 9th minute through Orkun. Orkun's shot from the right side of the penalty area went off the post. Turkey took the lead in the 11th minute. Hakan's pass sent Arda Güler into the box from the left, and he slotted home a shot: 0-1. Bulgaria responded with two minutes left through Kirilov. Despedov crossed for an attack from the right wing. Zeki slipped, but Kirilov quickly found the ball, and the ball deflected off goalkeeper Uğurcan, sending it into the net: 1-1. Both teams struggled to create any dangerous chances in the remaining minutes of the first half. The first half ended tied at 1-1.

The Crescent-Stars started the second half of the match fast. Turkey took the lead with an own goal from Popov in the 49th minute, and Kenan Yıldız scored in the 51st and 56th minutes to make it 4-1. Turkey, putting their full power into the match, scored another goal in the 65th minute through Zeki Çelik: 1-5. As the final minutes approached, İrfan Can Kahveci scored in the 90th+3rd minute to set the score at 1-6. With no further goals in the remaining minutes, the Turkish National Football Team won 6-1. With this result, Turkey secured their second victory in the group and increased their points total to six.
