Clash in Ankara drug operation: 2 injured, including a police officer

The incident occurred at night on 856th Street in the Kanuni Neighborhood of the district. According to reports, police officer Ahmet Y., who is on duty at the Ankara Police Department's Narcotics Branch, was wounded when Muhammed Furkan K., believed to be a drug dealer, arrived at the address they were following and opened fire on him.

The wounded police officer shot Furkan K., who had opened fire on him, enabling his capture. The suspect's weapon and drugs were seized during a search. After receiving initial treatment from a medical team dispatched to the scene, the injured police officer and the suspect were transported to Etlik City Hospital.

It is understood that the police officer is in good condition and the investigation into the incident is continuing.
