Former Menemen Mayor Tahir Şahin passed away (Who is Tahir Şahin?)

Previous Menemen Mayor Tahir Şahin passed away after suffering a heart attack. Tahir Şahin, who served as mayor of Menemen Municipality between 1999-2019, had a heart attack while swimming in the sea in Foça. After the first intervention of the medical teams, Şahin was taken to Foça State Hospital, but despite all interventions, he could not be saved.

In a statement made by the CHP Menemen District Presidency; "Our previous Mayor of Menemen, Mr. Tahir Şahin, lost his life after a heart attack and lost his life in the battle for his life. With his valuable services to Menemen and his exemplary understanding of municipalism, his memory will never fade from our hearts and will be remembered with kindness.

May God have mercy on the late Tahir Şahin; we offer our condolences to his grieving family, loved ones, our organization and all of Menemen."
