Thousands of candidates who have qualified for university admission are seeking to take advantage of the scholarships (loans) and dormitory opportunities provided by the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Applications for dormitories are accepted earlier each year. Public dormitories, in particular, are the first choice for students coming from out of town.
Last year, KYK dormitory applications were accepted between August 20-24. This year, KYK dormitory applications are expected to be accepted one week after the results are made available.
Scholarship applications are generally accepted after academic studies begin. For the 2024-2025 academic year, applications were accepted between October 8-13. Similarly, this year, applications are expected to open by the end of October at the latest.
Applicants who apply for a scholarship also apply for a loan. They don't need to submit a second application. Winners receive a non-repayable scholarship, while the loan is repayable.
