The meetings were attended by provincial health directors, heads of public hospital services, chief physicians and deputy chief physicians responsible for MHRS in the region. The 10th of the provincial coordination and MHRS evaluation meeting, the first of which was held in Antalya on January 15, 2025, is being held in Izmir on February 25-26. Simultaneously with these meetings, health report trainings of the same provinces were held in coordination with the Ministry of National Defense . In addition, the teams held evaluation meetings regarding the functioning of city hospitals operating actively in the regions visited. While regional meetings identify and work on solving regional appointment problems on a local level, it is aimed to use the existing human resources in the most efficient way and to provide effective and fast service to patients.
Two-thirds of appointment requests were metThe number of people waiting for an appointment through MHRS in Turkey decreased from 2 million 490 thousand 559 in December 2024 to 1 million 96 thousand 163 in February 2025. As a result of all the work carried out in a short time, the number of pending appointment requests decreased by 58 percent.
When the data was evaluated in detail, it was seen that 197,949 of the people who made an appointment request were waiting because they preferred a certain doctor, and if they wanted to choose other doctors from the same branch, the appointment requests of these people who were waiting could be met on a branch basis. Thus, the number of appointment requests waiting on a clinic basis dropped to 898,214. This showed that the number of people waiting for an appointment through MHRS actually decreased by 64 percent, and two-thirds of the appointment requests were met with the work carried out by the ministry.
While appointments can be made for the same day in 69 of the 79 branches registered with MHRS throughout Turkey, appointments can be made for all branches on the same day in 69 provinces and for all branches in the same week in 73 provinces.
