Murder suspect emerges from suitcase

The suspect, who allegedly shot and killed a person in Güngören , was detained while hiding in a suitcase during an operation carried out by special operation-backed police teams in a residence in Esenyurt.

Istanbul Public Security Branch Directorate Homicide Bureau teams started an investigation into the death of Reşit Ayten (34) as a result of an armed attack on the street in Mareşal Çakmak Neighborhood.

Teams determined that Ayten, who lost her life, had 20 records and 11 wanted names for various crimes.

As a result of the examination of security cameras, it was determined that the suspect was Şenol K. (22).

An operation supported by special operations police was carried out on the residence where the suspect was staying in Esenyurt.

Homicide teams caught the suspect hiding in a suitcase on top of the wardrobe.

During the searches, 3 unlicensed guns, a long-barreled gun magazine, 23 cartridges and a certain amount of drugs were seized.

It was determined that the suspect had 19 records and 4 wanted signs for various crimes.

It was learned that the suspect, who was learned to have a debt issue with the victim, admitted to the murder in his statement taken at the Homicide Bureau of the Public Security Branch Directorate.

Suspect Şenol K., who was referred to the courthouse after the procedures at the police station, was arrested by the criminal judge of peace on duty.

The suspect was recorded by a security camera running away from the street where the murder occurred.
