She gave her a nightmare with the 'potato hat'! Her playmate turned the young girl's life upside down

Azra B., who lives in Kartal, Istanbul, is going through a difficult time due to the harassment and threats from the person she communicates with in the online game.

Allegedly, Emir L. , whom the 16-year-old girl met while playing a game and talked to via an application called Discord, turned the life of the young girl and her family into a nightmare.

HARASSED A YOUNG GIRL WITH FAKE REPORTS

Emir L., the perpetrator, obtained Azra B.'s personal information, including her Turkish ID number, parents' names, place of birth, and date of birth, and shared this information on social media. He also said, "I will turn anyone's house into a police station if they shelter me."

The suspect also made false reports in Azra's name, prompting police to frequently visit the family's home. The family's safety was threatened, and the young girl was subjected to constant threats via phone calls and emails.

SENT FAKE E-MAILS TO THE POLICE

The furious harasser also reported the girl's father to the Istanbul Provincial Police Department last year using an email address belonging to Azra B. In the email, titled "Threats and illegal betting," Azra B. stated that her father was involved in the illegal betting business and wrote, "My father is setting up illegal betting on my computer. He says if I tell anyone he's doing this on my computer, he locks me in my room and won't give me food or water. I don't want to live with threats. Please help."

REPORTS WERE MADE WITH A 'POTATO HAT'!

Emir L., who included Azra B.'s home address and contact information in this false report email, caused police teams to go to the young girl's house.

However, Azra B. stated that she did not report the incident against her father and that police teams had knocked on her doors with similar reports before.

Following the incident, Azra and her family reported their grievances to the authorities and filed a complaint with the prosecutor's office. The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation on charges of "slander," "fabrication," and "threats."
