August 30 Victory Day ceremony rehearsal on Vatan Street

As part of the 103rd Anniversary Celebrations and General Rehearsal of August 30 Victory Day, roads were closed to traffic from 5:45 a.m. until the end of the program. Extensive security measures were taken in and around the street as part of the rehearsal. Police teams diverted vehicles to alternative routes.

CEREMONY REHEARSAL WAS HELD

Members of the Turkish Armed Forces, gendarmerie, and police took part in the ceremony. As part of the rehearsal, soldiers and police officers from the Turkish Armed Forces, gendarmerie, and security forces, along with military and police vehicles, paraded through the area. A military marching band performed during the parade. The Turkish National Anthem was sung during the rehearsal, followed by a moment of silence. Folk dance and Zeybek groups also took their places in the area for the rehearsal. Some citizens watched the ceremony rehearsal with interest. The closed roads are expected to be reopened at the end of the rehearsal.

Some roads on Vatan Street were closed to traffic from 05:45 until the end of the rehearsal. Adnan Menderes Boulevard (Vatan Street) was closed to traffic in both directions. It was stated that Turgut Özal Boulevard (Millet Avenue), Fevzipaşa Avenue, Atatürk Boulevard, D 100 Highway and O-3 Hal Road could be used as alternatives to these roads.
