Countries sending the most visitors

Following Russia and Germany, the countries sending the most visitors were Russia with 977,000, Iran with 946,000, Bulgaria with 749,000 and the UK with 677,000.
In the first four months, a total of 3,654,000 visitors came from European-OECD countries, an increase of 3.77 percent compared to the same period in 2024.
Türkiye has now set its sights on Far Eastern countries such as China, Japan and South Korea.
According to data released by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the number of visitors to Türkiye in April 2025 increased by 8.01 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 3.9 million. In the first four months, the number of visitors decreased by 0.60 percent, reaching 12.744 million. Of these visitors, 2.154 million were citizens residing abroad, while 10.59 million were foreigners.
In the first four months, a total of 3,654,000 visitors came from European OECD countries, a 3.77 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024. Germany, which sent 1,143,000 visitors during this period, was the country that sent the most visitors to Türkiye.
In the first four months, other leading European markets received 91,000 visitors from Austria (7.17 percent increase), 276,000 from the Netherlands (6.40 percent increase), 677,000 from the UK (2.85 percent increase), 199,000 from Italy (36.69 percent increase), 180,000 from Poland (8.54 percent increase), 111,000 from Belgium (3.30 percent decrease), 243,000 from France (0.27 percent decrease), and 206,000 from Greece (8.22 percent decrease).
In the first four months, there were 16,000 visitors from Bahrain, a 17.47 percent decrease, 47,000 from Kuwait, a 28.73 percent decrease, 58,000 from Lebanon, a 10.07 percent decrease, 59,000 from Jordan, a 5.26 percent decrease, and 8,000 from Yemen, a 1.63 percent decrease.
On the other hand, the number of visitors from the United Arab Emirates increased by 6.15 percent to 21,000 during this period, while the number of visitors from Iraq increased by 9.78 percent to 251,000, from Israel by 50.78 percent to 29,000, from Saudi Arabia by 9.27 percent to 156,000, and from Qatar by 5.23 percent to 12,000.
According to data announced by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the number of visitors coming to Türkiye in April 2025 increased by 8.01 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 3 million 900 thousand.
The number of visitors in the first four months decreased by 0.60 percent to 12,744,000. Of these visitors, 2,154,000 were citizens residing abroad and 10,590,000 were foreigners.
In April, the most visitors came from Germany with 571,000, followed by Russia with 375,000, the United Kingdom with 373,000, Bulgaria with 242,000 and Iran with 213,000.
Germany led the way in sending visitors to Türkiye in the four-month period between January and April, with 1.143 million. Following Germany, the top countries sending visitors were Russia with 977,000, Iran with 946,000, Bulgaria with 749,000, and the UK with 677,000.
