The accident occurred in the Taşucu area of the D-400 highway in the evening hours. For an as yet unknown reason, the car with license plate 33 VP 831, driven by Hasan Hüseyin Mavi, lost control and crashed into the steel barriers in the median strip, splitting in two. Upon notification from bystanders, health, police, and firefighters were dispatched to the scene of the accident. Upon examination by the paramedic, it was determined that Mert A. (22), who was in the car where the driver died, was injured. The injured person was taken to the hospital by ambulance. The dead body of the deceased driver was removed from the vehicle by firefighters. Following the police's examination of the scene, Mavi's body was taken to the morgue for an autopsy.

The investigation launched by the police into the accident continues.
