Tax expert Dr. Ozan Bingöl stated that employees whose gross salary is 93 thousand TL and above enter the 20 percent tax bracket as of the second month of the year, and drew attention to the fact that employees pay more taxes every month due to the injustice in these brackets.

According to Bingöl’s analysis, an employee earning a gross salary of 100 thousand TL receives a net salary of 75,004 TL in January, while this amount drops to 65,909 TL in December. Salaries, which have already lost purchasing power due to high inflation, are further eroded by tax bracket transitions. While the rate of tax-related loss is approximately 12 percent, the real income decrease can reach levels of 50 thousand TL by the end of the year.
