Suruç Massacre commemoration intervention! Numerous detentions
In Ankara, youth organizations held a march in Kızılay to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Suruç Massacre. The youth groups chanted slogans on Ziya Gökalp Street. Police warned the marching group to disperse.
Police intervened in the group, which did not disperse despite the warning, and detained many activists.
In a statement regarding the detentions, the Ankara Branch of the Contemporary Lawyers Association said, "We are dealing with the detention process of those detained from the Suruç Massacre commemoration in Kızılay this evening."
