Actor Şekip Taşpınar , known for his role as " Cevat the Matchmaker " in the TV series Kurtlar Vadisi , has passed away at the age of 56. The actor's sudden death has left his family, friends and loved ones deeply in mourning.
Taşpınar's wife, Berna Taşpınar , announced that her husband went to Balıkesir to visit his sister two days ago and died of a heart attack in the morning.

Having lived in the Datça district of Muğla for a long time, Taşpınar lost his life in the Altınoluk Neighborhood of the Edremit district of Balıkesir, where he went to visit relatives in the morning hours of July 2.

Taşpınar's death caused great sadness among his family, the art community and his fans.

The actor's wife Berna Taşpınar made a statement in front of her house in Datça and said, "He went to Altınoluk to be with his sister two days ago. We received the news that he died of a heart attack in the morning. We are very sad. I am also going to Altınoluk. His body will be buried next to his mother. My condolences to all of us."

It was learned that the funeral of the famous actor will be held in the Altınoluk Neighborhood of Balıkesir's Edremit district after the noon prayer on July 3, 2025.

Mehmet Şekip Taşpınar was born in Ankara on February 10, 1969. He graduated from Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory. He started his theater career in 1988 at Ankara Halk Oyuncuları Theater.
