AK Party Secretary General: This nation did not leave the state to looters

AK Party Secretary General and İzmir MP Eyyüp Kadir İnan made important statements at a program held in Atatürk Square in İzmir's Konak district as part of July 15th Democracy and National Unity Day. İnan emphasized that July 15th was the night the Turkish nation demonstrated its wholehearted devotion to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and took a historic stance against invasion and treason.

İnan noted that those who, before July 15th, had declared that "democracy is not just about the ballot box," rushed to markets and gas stations instead of taking to the streets on the night of the coup . İnan stated that people took to the streets that night, at President Erdoğan's call, to resist the coup, and that the nation risked its lives to deny the FETÖ traitors passage.

İnan, recalling that Türkiye had been held back for years by numerous coups in the past, stated that youth and labor were stolen during these coups, society was impoverished, and those who perpetrated the coups were never held accountable. He noted that the nation put an end to these habits on the night of July 15th.

İnan, recalling the words of Bosnia and Herzegovina's first President, Alija Izetbegović, "A forgotten genocide is repeated," stated that July 15th should not be forgotten. "Just as thousands of people stood up nine years ago, our children will be here 59 years later," he said.

İnan stated that the July 15th coup, unlike all previous coups, aimed directly at seizing control of the state, and that if it succeeded, the aim was to transform Turkey into a FETÖ Republic. He noted that Turkey's strong presence in Karabakh, Syria , and Libya today is a result of the resistance displayed on July 15th.

Inan, who delivered a message of determination in the fight against FETÖ, said, "The ringleaders died and became carcasses. Our heroes will always remain in the highest office. Our pain and anger are as fresh as the first day." He harshly criticized those who labeled this treacherous attempt as theater and promised to return the decree-law holders.

Reacting to insinuations of a coup inspired by FETÖ members, İnan said, "These streets are not the same as they were before. You can never overcome this state." İnan stated that President Erdoğan and MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli have initiated a critical process with the goal of a "Türkiye Without Terrorism," and that this process is directly linked to July 15th.

İnan also reiterated President Erdoğan's call for a flag for a terror-free Türkiye.
