IHH opened an orphanage for 192 people in sister country Pakistan

Bursa İnegöl Orphanage was built within the Haripur Education Complex in Haripur, 90 km from Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. The orphanage consists of a 2,394 square meter building. The first 2 floors of the 3-story orphanage are used as dormitories, while the 3rd floor is used as classrooms and activity areas. The 192-person orphanage was built by Bursa IHH.
“Your duty is to carry this country forward”
Speaking at the opening ceremony, IHH Board of Trustees Deputy Chairman Hüseyin Oruç said, “When we visited our new orphanage, one of our guests said, ‘I graduated from the best school in Pakistan. My dormitory, my room was not this nice.’ Following these words, Oruç said, “The duty of all of you is to first carry this country forward as good Muslims and then show this to the whole world.”
Bursa IHH President Hüseyin Kaptan, who took the floor after Oruç, said, “We have listened to our elders a lot. God has made it possible for us to come to these regions and see the brotherhood of Pakistan and Turkey. God has made it possible for us to build our first permanent work project abroad as Bursa IHH here.”
What's in Haripur Education Complex?
The last building of the complex, which was started by IHH in 2011 and is located on 16 acres, was the Bursa İnegöl Orphanage. There are 4 orphanages, 3 schools and 1 vocational training course in the education complex. There is also a gym , tailor shop and farm for orphans. A total of 875 students receive education in the education complex. 605 of these students are orphans. 550 of the orphan students are staying in the complex.
In order to prevent waste, waste food is transformed into something useful and used as feed and fertilizer in the animal farm or agricultural farm located in the Haripur Education Complex.
In addition, IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation provides shelter and care support to 1060 orphans in the 8 orphanages it has built so far in sister country Pakistan.
The opening program ended with various sports activities and tree planting.
