Israel strikes tents in Gaza: 14 Palestinians killed

The Israeli army's attack on displaced Palestinian tents in Gaza left 14 people dead and 25 injured. The target was the northern Shati Refugee Camp, which shelters civilians struggling with hunger and thirst.

According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, the Israeli army attacked tents set up in the northern part of the Shati Refugee Camp, west of Gaza City, where Palestinians displaced by previous Israeli deportation orders were staying.

The attack resulted in the deaths of 14 Palestinians, including women and children. The bodies, along with those of the 25 injured, were transported to Shifa Hospital in Gaza.

The Israeli military's offensive was notable for directly targeting civilian areas in the Gaza Strip. The humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip is reportedly deteriorating daily.

At least 59,029 Palestinians have lost their lives and 142,135 people have been injured in Israel's ongoing attacks since October 7, 2023.

The Gaza Strip is in a humanitarian disaster, with access to food, clean water, medicine, medical supplies and hygiene products nearly impossible due to the heavy siege imposed by Israel.

Israeli attacks not only target civilians but also destroy civilian infrastructure. With 88% of Gaza destroyed, Palestinians are constantly being forcibly displaced and their refuges subjected to renewed attacks.
