Italy opens door for negotiations with Iran

Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani announced that he reiterated the importance of Iran's return to the negotiating table in a phone call with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Erakçi. Tajani made his statement on the social media platform X.
"I reiterated to him the importance of returning to the negotiating table. We hope to restart dialogue with the United States to reach a nuclear agreement that will guarantee stability in the Middle East," Tajani said in his post.
Tajani also emphasized that Italy, together with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), is ready to take any steps to facilitate the re-establishment of dialogue between the United States and Iran.
Tajani emphasized that Tehran's return to nuclear talks is vital for regional stability. He stated that Italy will continue to play a constructive role in diplomatic efforts to find a solution.
Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani's statements came as nuclear agreements and international security are once again on the agenda. While the stalled nuclear negotiations between Iran and the West have exacerbated tensions in the region, Tajani's call aimed to re-engage the parties in dialogue.
