The forest fire in Tekirdağ spread to Çanakkale, villages were evacuated, and the risk remains.

The fire, which started in an agricultural area in the Şarköy district of Tekirdağ and spread to a forested area, spread across a wide area driven by wind. Approximately 100 water trucks and 400 personnel were involved in the ground firefighting, along with 21 aircraft from the air. The fire also crossed the border into Çanakkale and reached the rural area of Kavakköy in the Gelibolu district.
Tekirdağ Governor Recep Soytürk, in a statement regarding the cause of the fire, said, "Although there is no definitive information, there is information that needs to be confirmed that a bird hit a wire north of Şenköy two days ago and caused a fire below. We are investigating this and will clarify it."
The Şenköy, Kızılcaterzi, and Kocali neighborhoods were evacuated as a precaution due to the fire. Four people were taken to hospital for smoke inhalation. The efforts were managed from AFAD's Mobile Coordination Center.
Çanakkale Governor Ömer Toraman emphasized that the fire did not pose a risk to natural gas pipelines or military facilities. Lines were established to protect critical facilities during the firefighting effort.
A forest fire in Çanakkale's Ayvacık district continued throughout the night. Helicopters launched an aerial response to the blaze, which began in the village of Naldöken and spread to Tuzla, Taşağıl, and Çamköy at first light.
The governor's office evacuated the villages of Naldöken, Tuzla, Çamköy, and Taşağıl due to the risk. Villagers returned to their homes after the risk decreased. The fire affected the surrounding area of the geothermal power plant in Tuzla village and the historic Hüdavendigar Mosque, which is currently undergoing restoration.
While some houses, roofs and pens were burned in Naldöken village, many animals also perished.
The fire, which broke out in Çamyurdu village in Bolu's Mudurnu district, has been brought under control. The blaze spread to haylofts and houses. Ten haylofts and two houses were completely destroyed, and one house was partially destroyed. A cow and various agricultural vehicles were also damaged in the blaze.
Firefighters, health officials, gendarmerie, the Regional Directorate of Forestry, and AFAD teams responded to the fire. Villagers provided support with buckets, tractors, and excavators.
Arriving at the scene of the fire, Mudurnu Deputy District Governor Talha Battal and Taşkesti Town Mayor Saim Çevik reported that the fire was taken under control.
Seyfettin Aldemir, whose house, barn, and tractor were destroyed in the fire, said he learned about the situation through his wife and was able to save some of his animals. Necmiye Aldemir said they escaped the fire without retrieving their belongings and that her arm was also burned.
Fire and forestry teams continue cooling efforts in the regions.
