US President Trump threatens Iran: We will strike nuclear targets again

US President Donald Trump made statements regarding the recent attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities. He claimed that some Iranian nuclear facilities were destroyed in operations conducted in June, saying, "We will do it again if necessary."
Trump responded to Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Erakçi's comments in an interview with Fox News in a post on Truth Social. Referring to Erakçi's statement that "the damage is very serious, facilities have been destroyed," Trump said, "Of course it is, just as I said, and we will do it again if necessary."
Trump also criticized US media outlet CNN. He targeted CNN's reporting that the attack only "set Iran's nuclear program back a few months," arguing that the network should fire its "fake reporters" and issue a public apology. Trump stated that the apology should be directed both to himself and the American pilots who carried out the operations.
The attacks launched by Israel on June 13th paralleled escalating tensions amid ongoing nuclear negotiations between Iran and the US. The wave of attacks launched by Israel targeted nuclear and military facilities in various Iranian cities, as well as several civilian areas.
The US openly supported Israel during this process, and on June 22, it launched an attack on three Iranian nuclear facilities in the cities of Natanz, Fordo, and Isfahan in Operation Midnight Hammer. These attacks, carried out with US-held "bunker-busting" bombs, were described by the Trump administration as a "major success."
Damage reports leaked to the media following the attacks claimed that Iran's nuclear program had not been completely destroyed, but that work had been pushed back by several months. The Trump administration reacted strongly to these reports. The US Justice Department and the Pentagon launched a full investigation into the leak.
Trump openly expressed his reaction to comments casting doubt on the effectiveness of the attacks in his Truth Social post, emphasizing that the military option against Iran was still on the table with the message, "We will do it again if necessary."
