He set fire to his motorcycle, which was banned from traffic.

A motorcycle was banned from traffic in Fatih, Istanbul, after the driver failed to pass an inspection. The enraged driver set his motorcycle on fire.
The incident occurred yesterday around 4:30 PM in the Kemalpaşa neighborhood of Laleli. According to reports, on October 15, 2024, Mehmet T., the owner of the motorcycle, was fined a total of 1,389 lira in six minutes for "not wearing protective headgear and goggles for drivers on motorcycles, mopeds, and electric bicycles, and not wearing protective headgear for passengers." However, unaware that two separate fines had been issued, Mehmet T. only paid the first fine. His motorcycle's inspection date had passed, and he tried to schedule an inspection, but because he had an unpaid fine, he couldn't get one. He then went to the tax office and paid the remaining fine. He then scheduled an inspection, but was stopped by traffic enforcement officers while driving.
He set his motorcycle on fire
Mehmet T., whose motorcycle had not been inspected by police, was fined 3,160 lira and banned from driving. Enraged by this, Mehmet T. set his motorcycle on fire in full view of everyone. Firefighters responded to the blazing fire and the motorcycle was then towed to the police station. The incident was captured on a cell phone camera, prompting police to launch an investigation.
"I SET THE ENGINE ON FIRE IN ANGRY"
Motorcycle owner Mehmet Turan said, "I went to the inspection station 15-20 days ago and got a ticket. I was given a ticket I wasn't aware of. I had a ticket I'd already paid, but I received one without being informed. On my way back from the inspection station, they stopped me and said, 'You have a ticket.' They paid it and said, 'Get another ticket and come back.' My inspection date is the 8th. I took my motorcycle in for repair and had it serviced. I happened to get it stopped on the way home. I explained the situation to the police, but they didn't do anything; they gave me two tickets. In my anger, I threw my bike in front of them, set it on fire, and it caught fire. We barely escaped with our lives."
