Historic success: The Sultans of the Net are in the semi-finals of the World Championship

The Sultans of the Net defeated the USA to advance to the World Championship semifinals for the first time. The national team will face Japan in the semifinals.

Having beaten Slovenia 3-0 in the last 16 round of the organization in Thailand, the National Women's Volleyball Team faced the USA, one of the strongest teams in the championship, in the quarterfinals.
The national team won the match 3-1 and advanced to the semi-finals for the first time in the championship.
The national team will face Japan in the semi-finals.

The national team, which first participated in the Women's World Volleyball Championship in 2006, made its sixth consecutive appearance in the quadrennial event.
The national team finished the championship in 10th place in 2006, but finished sixth in 2010 with seven wins and seven losses, which was recorded as the best result in history.
The national team finished the tournament ninth in 2014, tenth in 2018 and eighth in 2022.
