Shane Larkin bids farewell to the Turkish National Team

Anadolu Efes star Shane Larkin , who has been playing for the National Basketball Team for 7 years, announced that he has ended his national team career.

Larkin, 32, announced his decision in a statement on his social media account.

Larkin made the following statement:

Seven years ago, I came to Turkey with no expectations. It was just another stop on my way to play the game I love. Seven years later, this place has become my second home. Your acceptance and support mean more than words. The love and support we've received from the entire country is far more valuable than our ultimate goal: a gold medal. I'd like to thank my teammates, who have become my brothers, our coaches, our administrators, and everyone who contributed to this journey. It was an honor to walk onto the field with the word "Turkey" written across my chest. I will forever be one of you, and I love you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you, Turkey.
