The regular season in the league, which will feature 20 teams this season, will be completed on April 17, 2026.

Play-in matches will be played on April 21-24, 2026, and play-off matches will be played on April 28-May 13, 2026.

The Final Four organization, where the champion will be determined, will be held in Athens, the capital of Greece, on May 22-24, 2026.

As in the last six seasons, two Turkish representatives will take part in the organization.

This season, Türkiye will be represented by Anadolu Efes and Fenerbahçe Beko.

Anadolu Efes won the Europa League championship in 2021 and 2022. Fenerbahçe Beko took the trophy to its museum in 2017 and 2025.

20 teams will compete in the new season of the Europa League.

The German representative, ALBA Berlin, will not take part in the organization in 2025-2026.

In addition to Hapoel IBI, the reigning champion of the BKT European Cup, Valencia Basket and the Dubai Basketball European League will be new teams.

Representatives from 10 countries will take the stage in the tournament this season.

The event will feature four teams from Spain, three from France, two each from Türkiye, Serbia, Italy, Greece and Israel, and one each from Germany, Lithuania and the United Arab Emirates.

The teams and countries that will take part in the 2025-2026 season are as follows:

  • Spain: Real Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia Basket, Baskonia
  • France: Monaco, Paris Basketball, LDLC ASVEL
  • Türkiye: Anadolu Efes, Fenerbahce Beko
  • Serbia: Red Star, Partizan

  • Greece: Panathinaikos AKTOR, Olympiacos
  • Israel: Maccabi Rapyd, Hapoel IBI

For the third consecutive season, the tournament will be played using a play-in format. Twenty teams will compete in the event, and the final two teams advancing to the playoffs will be determined following the play-in matches.

In the EuroLeague, which will be played according to the double-round league system, the teams that finish the regular season in the top six will directly qualify for the playoffs.

The final two teams competing in the playoffs will be determined by a play-in tournament between the teams that finished in seventh, eighth, nineth and tenth place during the regular season.

The winner of the seventh- and eighth-place match of the regular season will advance to the playoffs in seventh place. The losing team will face the winner of the ninth- and 10th-place match. The winner of that match will earn a playoff spot in eighth place.

Teams that achieve three wins in the playoff series will advance to the Final Four.

Four Turks will be seeking success in foreign teams in the Europa League this season.

National players Cedi Osman and Ömer Faruk Yurtseven will start their second season at Panathinaikos, where Ergin Ataman is the head coach.

Sertaç Şanlı, who left Fenerbahçe Beko, will play for Dubai Basketball in the new season. The experienced basketball player played for Barcelona in the 2021-2023 season.
