The first Turkish athlete with autism to cross the Strait of Gibraltar: 22-year-old Tuna Tunca

22-year-old Tuna Tunca became the first Turkish athlete with autism to cross the Strait of Gibraltar, swimming for five hours and 32 minutes.
Ultra marathon swimmer Tuna entered the sea off the coast of Punta Marroqui, Spain, at 09:27 to complete the 16.2-kilometer course between Spain and Morocco.
Tunca swam for five hours and 32 minutes without interruption and reached the shore in the Ziri region of Morocco.
The athlete was accompanied by Rohan Crouse from Britain, Ariadna Moreno and Victor Gregori Barrera from Spain.
On June 13, Tuna Tunca swam the 34-kilometer course between England and France in 13 hours and 26 minutes, becoming the first Turkish athlete with autism to cross the English Channel.
