World Boxing Championship: Busenaz Sürmeneli in the quarterfinals

National boxer Busenaz Sürmeneli advanced to the quarterfinals of the World Boxing Championship.

The 2025 World Boxing Championships, organized by the World Boxing Federation and recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), are being held in Liverpool, Britain.

On the fifth day of the organization, Busenaz Sürmeneli entered the ring in the 65-kilogram weight class in the last 16 round.

The 27-year-old boxer, who defeated Colombian Angie Paola Valdes Pana on points, advanced to the quarterfinals.

Sürmeneli won the gold medal at the 2020 Olympics.
