İlhan Yalçın: A 4-5% loss is expected in the German market

Noting that Germany , Antalya 's largest tourism market, is showing signs of a decline in 2025 , ATG Hotels European Sales Director İlhan Yalçın said, "The market, which experienced an incredible recovery after the pandemic, continued its strong rise in 2023. Although growth continued in 2024, the increase was more limited."
İlhan Yalçın , commenting on his social media account, said, "So, what's the outlook for 2025? Initial data points to a slight decline. The general consensus is that the year will close with a loss of around 4-5 percent. However, with last-minute sales still strong, the optimistic scenario suggests a close very close to, or even slightly above, 2024 figures."
Yaşçın continued his evaluations as follows:
On the competitive side, the picture is clear: Egypt, in particular, is attracting passengers with more affordable packages. Greece, on the other hand, is attracting passengers in the higher-priced segment, with a 10% increase expected in 2025. Antalya, on the other hand, continues to attract primarily the "mid-range" passengers between these two destinations.
On the other hand, the increasing package prices of hotels in Antalya and the high inflation environment in Germany played an important role in this decline.
In conclusion, the German market is still one of the strongest sources, but the outlook for 2025 clearly shows that it is necessary to prepare for 2026 with stronger strategies.”
