Businessman Kemal Şahin , who was arrested as part of a corruption investigation on May 17, was released 6 days ago by the decision of the on-call court.

Kemal Şahin, the owner of Megasaray Hotels in Antalya and Chairman of the Board of Şahinler Holding, was arrested as part of an investigation on May 17 and sent to Silivri Prison. Şahin was released approximately one month later, on June 26, by a court on duty decision.

The investigation launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on May 8 was a comprehensive "corruption" investigation into the Büyükçekmece Municipality. The investigation covered all construction permits, occupancy permits issued between January 1, 2015 and May 7, 2025, and the individuals and companies involved in this process.

In this context, Kemal Şahin, the owner of Şahinler Holding , was also detained and arrested by the court on May 17 and sent to prison. It was alleged that Şahin's arrest was due to allegations of irregularities in ongoing projects.

He shared videos one after another on Instagram

Kemal Şahin, who actively uses the social media platform Instagram, shared two videos in succession after his release. In one of these videos, Şahin addressed the employees and said, “We missed you. You have done everything you could. It is not good to stay away so much. It is a bit painful when people who work and live with people leave. We left the bad days and weeks behind.”
