London Morning's associate producer, Ryan Soulliere, listens to a lot of music for his role, picking tunes for the show. In any given week, that's about 25 songs. Here are his top three local and Canadian picks from last week.

Things are on the uptick for the region's premiere Celtic-folk band, Maggie's Wake. In April, the band won a Canadian Folk Music Award for New/Emerging Artist, and last week won the Forest City London Music Award for Folk Group of the Year. Tiffany Chantelle is one reason London's R&B and Hip Hop scene is thriving. Chantelle's mid-tempo R&B jam LETTER2U is a perfect song to start your day or relax. Chantelle's smokey vocals really make this song pop over the smooth beat and catchy chorus. You can also add LETTER2U to your next party mix.

4-time Juno award winner Choclair is performing at Vol. 2 of the Forest City London Music Awards this Sunday night at London Music Hall. The well-known rapper has a huge catologue to choose from, London Morning went with an old school favourite, Skyline. This all-purpose song will fit on just about any playlist you can think of. Skyline is upbeat but doesn't get carried away, and the flow is outstanding. Ideally, Skyline will be right at home on a kickin' party mix.
