Goderich dog owner charged after 2nd attack injures people and kills dog

A Goderich woman is facing charges after police say the same two dogs were involved in attacks that resulted in the death of another dog and injuries to the owner.
The first incident happened on July 29. Police say a woman was walking her dog while using a mobility scooter when her animal was attacked by two other dogs. The woman received injuries in the attack.
Then on Aug. 3, police investigated a dog attack on Gibbons Street that they say involved the same two dogs.
Police say a pedestrian was attacked by the dogs that were not secured on a nearby property. The pedestrian was injured and one of their dogs was killed in the attack. The dog owner was charged with an offence under the Dog Owner Liability Act.
As a result of the investigation, police say a 36-year-old Goderich woman will face charges of criminal negligence causing bodily harm.
The accused is due to appear in court on Oct. 6.
Her dogs will stay with her pending the results of a court hearing.
