Are Yeti Coolers On Sale for Amazon Prime Day?
Are Yeti's on sale? This is one question I get twice a year, Prime Day and Black Friday, without fail. It's always from my mom, who is a Yeti diehard and the only person who takes my "shopping expertise" seriously. She's got the Yeti bucket I've raved about in orange, a matching Yeti tote, a couple tumblers, and enough koozies to hand out to anyone who gets a drink from her at the neighborhood pool. The woman knows what she likes, but she'll always bemoan the price tag and has never pulled the trigger on an actual cooler. So, she asks me: Will Yeti go on sale for Prime Day?
The answer: Not exactly. Yeti holds a strict sale calendar. Gear only goes on sale when there's leftovers of a seasonal color. (You'll never see core colors like white, tan, and navy discounted.) Usually, but not always, that lines with Amazon Prime Day, the biggest shopping weekend of the summer.
There's an issue, though. Since the sale is technically separate from Prime Day, there's no guarantee stock will be around for Prime Day. In fact, I would imagine the on-sale colorways get snapped up over the course of Fourth of July weekend. I've seen that happen before, so my expert opinion is buy what you want right now.
Even if we see early sell-outs, we're currently not hurting for good options. If you're looking to buy a Yeti cooler, this is the time to do it because, again speaking as a professional shopper, they'll never be discounted more than 20 percent. Buy one now, find a beach, and put that $400 cooler to work.
