Nicole Kidman Tries On a Bold New Look on the May 2025 Cover of Allure

Here at theFashionSpot, Allure has become somewhat excluded from our must-read list over recent years. After all, the magazine is now strictly digital (as of December 2020), and covers simply do not hit like they once did. The last time the beauty-focused Condé Nast-owned publication truly commanded our attention was this time last year, when Willow Smith graced the cover. Jessica Cruel, who has served as editor-in-chief since 2021, invites Nicole Kidman onto the cover of Allure for May 2025. The celebrated Australian-American actress poses for photographer Dan Beleiu for the occasion, with Shiona Turini on styling duties. Kidman tries on a bold new look in the dynamic cover shot, captured sporting Balenciaga (obvi) and a bob hairstyle in a vivid shade of red.

“Got to respect Nicole Kidman for committing to these photoshoots. No other celebrity would agree to wear such hideous wigs,” exclaimed Avonlea.

“She’s collecting bad wigs like Pokémon these days,” shrieked Marc10.

GivenchyHomme was in complete agreement. “I love her, but can’t defend her on this. The wigs are bad bad!” they commented.

“At this point it would be provocative to see her real hair,” voiced forum member Lucien112.

“All I see is Milla Jovovich in The Fifth Element. I like that hair color on Nicole but it’s all just screaming… cosplay,” vogue28 disapproved.

“I love that she just goes for it. In all aspects of her career. I don’t especially love this shoot but she is serving… something! I’m not bored, ” reasoned KoV.

“This was a waste of time and money for Condé Nast,” thatshadedglaze declared.
