2025 NBA Mock Draft: VJ Edgecombe up to No. 4, Pelicans take international star after trade with Pacers

With the NBA Draft just over one week away, a number of teams -- even the NBA Finals-contending Indiana Pacers -- have been active in positioning themselves ahead of the June 25 draft in Brooklyn. Just last week, the Memphis Grizzlies traded star Desmond Bane to the Orlando Magic for a haul of picks that includes the No. 16 pick in this year's draft. On Tuesday, another deal -- this one between the Pacers and Pelicans -- gave New Orleans pick No. 23 in this draft in return for Mojave King and Indiana's first-rounder for next year.

We rarely see this much movement ahead of the draft, but given the changing landscape of the NBA and the looming fallout of the latest CBA and the second apron, teams seem to be placing a premium on young contributors on cheap deals. The scuttlebutt in league circles is that there may be more transactions in the coming week as teams jockey for position and smokescreens begin to fall.
