Kerry Club SFC Preliminary Round – St Kieran’s v East KerryWhere to watch: Clubber
When: Sunday, 21st September, 4:00pm
Location: Austin Stack Park, Tralee
East Kerry are gunning for another county title run, but first they face a tricky preliminary hurdle against St Kieran’s. The Killarney-based divisional side have dominated Kerry football in recent years, county champions in 2019, 2020, 2022 and 2023 and even without the injured Paudie Clifford, they’re stacked with talent like David Clifford, Dara Moynihan and the Downey brothers.
St Kieran’s, representing Castleisland and surrounding clubs, bring grit and togetherness rather than big-name county stars. They’ve been competitive in recent years, reaching the last eight in 2024 before bowing out to East Kerry. For them to cause an upset, keeping Clifford quiet and nicking scores from placed balls will be essential.
This is pure Kerry championship fare, and Clubber will be streaming it live.
Clare SHC Semi-Final – Ballyea v Clooney-QuinWhere to watch: Stream-sport
When: Saturday 20th September, 3.30pm
Location: Ennis
Ballyea have beaten Clooney-Quin in all six of their championship clashes over the past decade, including a decisive 2-21 to 0-18 win in 2022.
But Clooney-Quin, driven by Peter Duggan, will fancy their chances of finally flipping the script. With Tony Kelly still the heartbeat of Ballyea, this has all the makings of another thriller in Ennis.
Mayo SFC Quarter-Final – Breaffy v WestportWhere to watch: Mayo GAA TV (StreamSport)
When: Saturday, 20th September, 5:00pm
Location: Breaffy
Two clubs who know each other inside out, with county legends still at the heart of it. Aidan O’Shea anchors Breaffy, while Lee Keegan continues to marshal the Westport defence.
Last year, Breaffy shaded it by a single point in biblical rain; Westport will be itching for revenge. This will be Mayo football at its fiercest.
Where to watch: Clubber
When: Friday, 19th September, 7:30pm
Location: Páirc Uí Rinn
Friday night lights in Cork don’t get much better. A rematch of the 2021 county final sees Conor Lehane’s Midleton face Patrick Horgan’s Glen Rovers. Lehane famously hit 0-18 the last time they met on county final day, but Horgan has been in sensational form, flanked by the Downey brothers.
With a semi-final spot up for grabs, this is the one hurling fans around the country will be streaming.
Galway SHC Preliminary Quarter-Final – Castlegar v SarsfieldsWhere to watch: TG4 / TG4 Player
When: Sunday, 21st September, 3:50pm
Location: Kenny Park, Athenry
Two Galway hurling giants with very different recent fortunes collide. Castlegar, once kings of the county with 17 titles and an All-Ireland crown back in 1980, are desperate to get back to the top table. Standing in their way are Sarsfields, twice All-Ireland club champions in the ‘90s and still very much contenders today.
When they met last season, Sarsfields ran out convincing winners, with Kevin Cooney shooting the lights out on frees. Castlegar will need to rediscover some of their old swagger to upset the odds, but with tradition on their side and TG4’s cameras rolling, you wouldn’t rule out a battle.
Mayo SFC Quarter-Final – Belmullet v Deel RoversWhere to watch: TG4 / TG4 Player
When: Sunday, 21st September, 1:45pm
Location: St. Tiernan’s Park, Crossmolina
It’s North Mayo bragging rights on the line as Belmullet face Crossmolina Deel Rovers live on TG4. Belmullet have been knocking on the door in recent years, reaching the 2021 county final, while Deel Rovers are back in the big time after winning last year’s All-Ireland Intermediate title.
This clash has all the ingredients: Ryan O’Donoghue carrying the Belmullet scoring threat, Jordan Flynn leading the Deel Rovers charge, and young talents like Kobe McDonald and Séamus Howard set to feature. Expect a ferocious, hard-hitting encounter with the added spice of local pride.
