Cahill pleased with Tipp work rate against Cork

Tipperary manager Liam Cahill says he was delighted with his side’s work rate as they secured their third win in the Allianz Hurling League over the weekend.
Darragh McCarthy’s 0-10 tally helped the Premier men to a 1-22 to 0-21 win over Cork at Semple Stadium on Saturday night and it sees Tipp top of Division 1A after having played four games.
Speaking to TippFM Sport afterwards, Cahill said there were more green shoots for his team after the result.
“Really happy with the attitude of the players, the way they applied themselves on the field, their work ethic,” he stated.
“They way they figured out a lot of things themselves on the field tonight which is really encouraging. Little green shoots again as we go through this League.
“Look, we’re very conscious its spring time, we know that, and summer time is when you’re really going to be judged. But spring time is important for this group of players that we get our house in order and give ourselves a fighting chance come the summer.”
