Coach not yet confirmed: Real Madrid signs young star Dean Huijsen for almost 60 million euros

Real Madrid has signed talented defender Dean Huijsen for five years. An exit clause makes the multi-million-euro transfer possible.
Real Madrid has signed young Spanish star Dean Huijsen for the new season. The 20-year-old international is moving from English Premier League club AFC Bournemouth to Real Madrid. The defender signed a five-year contract with Real until June 30, 2030. Bournemouth confirmed in a club statement that Real had activated a £50 million (€59.5 million) release clause. Bayern Munich had also previously been interested in him .
Huijsen moved from Juventus Turin to the Premier League last summer and has thrived there. He has appeared in 30 of 36 matches so far and played a key role in Bournemouth setting a new club record in England's top flight with 53 points, just two games before the end of the season.
In March, the 1.95-meter-tall central defender earned his first cap for Spain following strong performances for the club. Born in Amsterdam, Huijsen also played for the Netherlands' youth national team during his time as a youth international.
It has not yet been determined which head coach Huijsen will work under at Real Madrid. Star coach Carlo Ancelotti will leave Madrid at the end of the season to take up the position as national coach of record world champions Brazil. The Spanish record champions have not yet commented on the coaching appointment.
