Tah moves from Leverkusen to Munich
German national soccer player Jonathan Tah will apparently join German record champions Bayern Munich this summer. Tah previously played for Bayer Leverkusen for ten years.
As "kicker," "Bild," and "Sky" reported on Friday evening, the defender has decided to move to Munich. Since the 29-year-old's contract with Bayer Leverkusen expires in June, he can leave on a free transfer. Tah had already confirmed his departure from Leverkusen at the end of April.
Tah already in action at the Club World Cup?The transfer is expected to be completed "immediately." According to reports, Tah will receive a four-year contract with Bayern. Tah is expected to play in the Club World Cup (June 14 to July 13) in the USA.
Last year, a transfer of the 35-time German international to Munich fell through at the last minute. FC Barcelona, coached by Hansi Flick, and Real Madrid, which is expected to be coached by outgoing Bayer coach Xabi Alonso, were also linked with Tah.
However, Barca may face difficulties in registering due to financial reasons; there had already been problems with Dani Olmo's move from Leipzig to the Catalans.
