Hollywood will recognize Florinda Meza for being a method actress.

Acting Neighborhood.- The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Hollywood will recognize Florinda Meza as an exponent of the “method,” highlighting the way she absorbed the character of Doña Florinda and never let it go again… not even off the set.

" After analyzing dozens of interviews, old videos, and breakfasts with Enrique Segoviano, we confirm that Florinda Meza lived, breathed, and behaved like Doña Florinda for more than 40 years. That's pure method," the evaluation committee explained before presenting the commemorative plaque they will give to the beloved actress.

The tribute will take place during a special ceremony called “The Art of Being the Same Character Forever,” which will be directed by Daniel Day-Lewis, who will also be in charge of presenting the recognition to La Popis .

The considerations for such a distinction arise after analyzing Meza's personal and artistic life, who apparently never stopped seeing others as "rabble," although—out of respect for human rights—he refrained from slapping strangers.
