CHILPANCINGO, GRO.- The Attorney General's Office (FGR) arrested Pedro Segura Valladares, former candidate of the Labor Party (PT) for governor of Guerrero, on Tuesday night for his alleged involvement in organized crime.

The arrest occurred around 7:40 p.m., when Segura Valladares arrived at his ranch, "La Vida," located in the northern region of the state, in the municipality of Teocuitlapa.

Attorney General's Office agents intercepted him at the scene. The former candidate got out of his truck, and simultaneously, people accompanying him broadcast the events live on the politician's Facebook account.

In the footage, an agent informs him of the existence of an arrest warrant for organized crime; he asks if the warrant came from Governor Evelyn Salgado Pineda or Senator Félix Salgado Macedonio, which the agent dismisses , emphasizing that her work had no partisan overtones.

Segura Valladares was subsequently informed of his rights and taken to the FGR facilities without resistance or being handcuffed.
